Boosters, Hints, and Reveal Letter Guide

InfiniWordle gives you help tools for the rounds that get sticky. They are not there to make the game play itself. They are there to keep a good puzzle from turning into a blank stare contest.

The two main tools to understand are hints and Reveal Letter. Give Up is also part of the system, and honestly, sometimes it is the healthiest button on the page.

What a Hint Is For

A hint is a nudge. It should help you see the board differently without handing you the full answer.

Hints are best when you already have some information. If you have two or three clues on the board and cannot find a sensible next word, a hint can get the round moving again.

Using a hint too early can flatten the fun. If the board is still wide open, it is usually better to make one more information-gathering guess first.

What Reveal Letter Is For

Reveal Letter is stronger than a hint. It gives you a confirmed letter, which can change the whole shape of the puzzle.

Use it when the answer space is too broad. For example, if the board looks like _ A _ E _ and you can think of six possible answers, a revealed letter might cut the list down to one or two.

Reveal Letter is especially useful late in the round. By then, you have already done the work, and one extra piece of information can save the solve from becoming a coin flip.

When to Keep Playing Clean

Not every stuck moment needs a booster.

Before using help, ask three quick questions:

  • Have I moved every yellow letter into a new spot?
  • Am I reusing gray letters for no reason?
  • Could this word have a repeated letter?

If one of those questions exposes a mistake, try another guess first. The best solves often come from noticing that the board already told you more than you thought.

When a Hint Makes Sense

A hint makes sense when you are not out of ideas, but the ideas are all messy.

Maybe you know the answer contains R and A, but every word you think of puts them in banned positions. Maybe you have avoided a repeated letter for too long. Maybe the word shape is common, but your brain is stuck on the same wrong ending.

That is a good hint moment. You have earned the nudge.

When Reveal Letter Makes Sense

Reveal Letter makes sense when the puzzle has too many possible answers and too few guesses left.

Say you have narrowed the answer to something like _ O _ E _. You have ruled out a pile of letters, but there are still several reasonable options. Revealing one letter can turn the endgame from guessing into solving.

It is also useful when you are practicing. After the round, look at the revealed letter and ask why it was hard to find. Was it an uncommon consonant? A repeated vowel? A word ending you forgot?

That little review is where the booster actually teaches you something.

Give Up Is Not a Crime

Give Up ends the round. That sounds dramatic, but it is just a way to stop spending guesses on a puzzle you are not enjoying anymore.

Because InfiniWordle has unlimited rounds, giving up does not end the session. It gives you the answer, closes the loop, and lets you start fresh.

The best use of Give Up is after you have learned what you can from the board. If the answer still is not coming, take the reveal and move on.

Quick Questions

Are hints cheating?

No. They are built into the game. The only real question is whether using one makes the round more fun or less fun.

Is Reveal Letter stronger than a hint?

Usually, yes. A revealed letter gives direct information, so it is best saved for later or for genuinely stuck boards.

Should I avoid help tools completely?

Only if that is fun for you. Clean solves feel great, but a well-timed nudge can also make the game better.

A Simple Rule

Try to solve first. Use hints when the board feels cloudy. Use Reveal Letter when the board is narrow but stubborn. Use Give Up when the round has stopped being worth the frown.
